Accessory maker Zagg was ready for Apple's latest announcements with its screen protectors and cases for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 8, and new Apple Watch SE.

There are several Zagg InvisibleShield screen protectors for Apple's new iPhone 14 smartphones and Apple Watch products.

For the iPhone 14 range, there's the Glass XTR 2 ($79.95), which the company claims is the strongest screen protection. The anti-reflective protector also features a hydrophilic layer for reduced friction, blue light filtering, and an anti-dust adhesive.

Then there's the $49.95 Glass Elite (said to be five times stronger than traditional glass screen protectors), the Glass Elite Privacy 360 ($59.95; similar strength plus a four-way filter that makes it harder for others to see the screen, and the $69.95 Flex Eco ($69.95) that's made with plant-based materials yet provides a "smooth, glass-like feel and advanced clarity look and feel just like your phone's own screen."

Turning to the Apple Watch Series 8, Zagg offers the "self-healing" Ultra Clear ($19.95) that's said to combine "crystal clear image quality" with a thinner film "so your Apple Watch responds to every tap and swipe", and the Glass Fusion 360 ($29.95) that includes a bumper to protect the watch from nicks and scratches.

These products also include an anti-microbial treatment plus an oil-diffusion technology that makes fingerprints "virtually invisible", plus Zagg's universal drop-in tray and alignment tabs for easier fitting.

While some of Apple's advertising has been nudging iPhone owners away from cases, a lot of people still feel that an iPhone is too expensive to carry around without a protective layer.

Zagg's Gear4 range now includes 11 models that cater for the iPhone 14 family.

Four are not MagSafe compatible.

Havana ($39.95) is said to give drop protection up to 3m, is partly recyclable, and comes in black, blue or purple.

Rio ($49.95) offers a black, soft-touch finish and up to 4m drop protection.

Copenhagen ($49.95) is made with up to 45% plant-based resources, yet still offers up to 4m drop protection. It's only available in black.

Crystal Palace ($49.95) is a slim, transparent case that provides drop protection up to 4m.

Zagg hasn't forgotten those who want or need MagSafe compatibility,

Havana Snap ($49.95) provides up to 3m of drop protection, is "eco-friendly", and comes in black, blue or purple.

Rio Snap ($59.95) has a black soft-touch finish, and provides drop protection up to 4m.

Crystal Palace Snap ($59.95) is another clear case that provides up to 4m of drop protection.

Santa Cruz Snap ($59.95) features a transparent, scratch-resistant surface and up to 4m of drop protection. It's available in black, periwinkle (purple), and blue.

Milan Snap ($79.95) is clear with coloured details, and provides up to 4m of drop protection. It has a scratch-resistant, non-yellowing surface, and comes in black swirl, blue swirl, green swirl, sunset ombre, and aurora ombre.

Brooklyn Snap ($79.95) combines black imitation leather and recycled plastics with up to 4m of drop protection.

Denali Snap ($79.95) is a black hardback case with a no-slip grip, offering up to 5m of drop protection.

All of these cases include an antimicrobial treatment.

Zagg APAC sales director Ross Mcinnes said "improving sustainability doesn't need to entail sacrificing quality. In order to safeguard and improve the technology that allows us to connect to the outside world, Zagg has looked for environmentally friendly packaging options and sustainable alternatives to plastics."

All of these products are available immediately from Zagg.com, and the new ranges will be stocked later this month by retailers including Bing Lee, Harvey Norman, JB HI-FI, Officeworks, and The Good Guys, as well as selected Vodafone, PTC, Happytel and Vodafone outlets.
